ApplicationsTop

Backup and restore
StorageNet routers play a key role in efficiently integrating SCSI devices into backup and restore storage area networks (SANs).

Disaster recovery
StrorageNet routers play a critical role in integrating SCSI devices into complete disaster recovery systems, including SANs for remote data vaulting and backup and restore functions.

BenefitsTop

Continuous availability
Keep your system up and running with field-replaceable, hot-swappable power supplies and fans, as well as dual storage network ports.

Flexibility
Protect your investment as you accommodate new technologies. Connect and manage storage devices into Fibre Channel, iSCSI and InfiniBand storage networks.

High performance
Back up your data significantly faster with throughput of 300 megabytes per second, two gigabits per second Fibre Channel ports and 160 megabytes per second Ultra3 SCSI ports.

Reduce backup time
Back up and restore existing data in significantly less time, or in increasingly larger data sets within your current backup window. StorageNet 3400 enables LAN-free and server-free backup/restore to reduce traffic on the LAN, CPU and the server.

Lower cost
Because of StorageNet 3400’s high port density (up to 12 SCSI ports), fewer routers are required to connect to the same number of storage devices.

FeaturesTop

Crossroads Visual Manager™ (CVM™) software
A powerful tool from Crossroads Systems that defines how storage devices share resources. CVM software allows you to configure the 3400 through a web-based graphic interface. Once you assign security access privileges, you can manage storage routers and access tape device information from any computer with a web browser.

LUN Management
The StorageNet 3400 restricts access –through access controls –and only allows hosts to find and access selected devices by use of LUN management, which goes beyond simple LUN masking.

Save-and-forward configuration
Provides easy installation.
