VSM Open will help you back up and restore your business data more efficiently and effectively. Your restore performance should be improved since critical and/or current information will be available from the disk buffer.

Storage management will be simplified since you will be able to share resources across heterogeneous servers and multiple backup applications. And sophisticated policy-based buffer management allows you to automatically define if and when your data should be migrated to tape.
