Peach Buzz: Agnes Scott in 'Creek' spinoff The nubile cast members of "Young Americans" may be fresh faces, but the landscape on which they romp will be familiar to Atlantans. The pilot episode of the WB's "Dawson's Creek" spinoff, which airs Wednesday night, was shot on the Agnes Scott College campus in Decatur. In the show, the Southern, all-female campus doubles as a Northern, all-male prep school. Shot by "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" director Kevin Rodney Sullivan in April 1999, the show includes shots of the Agnes Scott quadrangle, Buttrick Hall, Agnes Scott Hall, Rebekah Scott Hall and the campus gazebo. So what did the show's producers do about the actual Agnes Scott students who were on campus at the time? Some crop up as extras, and one serves as a double for actress Kate Bosworth, the townie temptress Bella in the series. Five other students were given the royal treatment during the weeklong shoot, when their dorm rooms became film sets. They were housed at the Georgian Terrace hotel, with limo service to campus. Alas, now that the WB has picked up "Young Americans" as a series, production has moved to Baltimore. "We're in the middle of a major building program, and there's just too much construction going on," Agnes Scott rep Mary Zimnik told us Monday.
