Her Majestys Theatre is located in the heart of Sydney's rapidly expanding entertainment district. Nearby is the Darling Harbour Complex, containing the Convention Centre and Exhibition Halls, the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the Capitol Theatre, Sydney's Chinatown and the Star City Casino.

The area is serviced by a number of two, three and five star hotels, with the Country Comfort Hotel located right next door and the four and a half star Carlton Crest Hotel a minutes walk away. All of Sydney's CBD Hotels are within a few minutes taxi ride.

This is one area of Sydney where car parking is not a problem. The Theatre has its own car park just two doors north of the Theatre on the corner of Quay and Thomas Streets. More parking is available in three public car parks within a few minutes walk.

There are many restaurants near the Theatre including those in Chinatown which is just a short walk away.

Her Majestys Theatre is adjacent to the major junction of Sydney's public transport system. Central Railway Square is just metres away and services a number of bus routes as well as the main rail terminus for Sydney's well-populated suburbs. Sydney's futuristic monorail stops at the end of the street, and a light rail service links Sydney's tourist district and the Star City Casino with Central Railway Square.
