The StorageTek Foundation evaluates contribution requests
and dispenses funds globally, with a focus on geographic areas
where StorageTek employees live and work. The Foundation supports
organizations and activities that improve the quality of life
through
Education
Arts and Culture
Health and Human Services
Those organizations who are awarded funding from the StorageTek
Foundation will be required to submit an report midway through
the program/project, and at the completion of the program/project.
The StorageTek Foundation grant deadline is September 30th.
Notification of grant status will occur in January or February
of the following year.
Restrictions
The Foundation does not provide support for:
Political or partisan organizations
Religious organizations that are purely denominational
or sectarian in purpose
Fraternal organizations and activities
General operating budgets receiving more than 40 percent
of their budgets from United Way
Individual or personal requests
Trips and tours
Salary expenses
Application procedures
In order for a request to be considered by the Foundation,
it must be submitted in the form of a written proposal by
an applicant organization classified as 501(c)(3). Please
do not use binders or notebooks. Do not include additional
materials that are not specifically requested. Faxed proposals
will not be accepted. A proposal will not be accepted if it
is incomplete. The proposal must include the following:
Cover letter - Please include a one-page cover
letter that includes the name of the organization, a brief
description of the project, how the project fits into one
the StorageTek Foundation focus areas, the timeline of the
project, and the amount requested.
Organizational summary - Please print and complete
attached
form.
Mission statement, brief statement of organization’s
goals and objectives
Brief summary of organization’s history
Description of current programs, activities and
accomplishments
Purpose of Grant
Explain the goals and objectives for the project.
Describe the target population, including numbers
served.
Timetable for project
Evaluation
Expected long- and short-term results
How success will be defined
How results will be used or disseminated
Attachments
Board of Directors, including occupations and community
affiliations
List of names and qualifications of key staff
Most recent year-end financial statements (audited
if available)

Copy of the most recent IRS determination letter
