To further illustrate Mercury's paint scheme offerings, shown below are pictures of 1958 Mercurys that I have collected off the Internet.

Monterey Monterey
Monterey in Solid-Toned Autumn Beige with optional Golden Dust Metallic flash. Note that this colour scheme contradicts the salesman's manual where one of the two colours in a two-coloured paint scheme must be Marble White, Tuxedo Black or Oxford Grey Metallic. A vehicle sporting these two colours, however, is shown in the sales brochure. Monterey in Two-Toned Autumn Beige and Golden Dust Metallic with the optional "Silver Applique" on the flash and jetstream area. Note that The "Silver Applique" in the jetstream area is not shown in the sales brochure nor is it mentioned in the salesman's manual, but it is shown in the body parts catalogue and in the owner's manual.

Park Lane in Solid-Toned Tuxedo Black with optional "Silver Applique" on the flash and jetstream area. Note as outlined above the inconsistencies in the literature regarding the "Silver Applique". Montclair Turnpike Cruiser in Flamingo Red and Tuxedo Black. Note that this car must have been resprayed and its owner created a new colour scheme because this scheme is incorrect.
