Implementation Services help optimize product functionality, utilization, and integration. StorageTek offers three levels of service implementations -- Baseline, Custom, and Value Plus implementation services. These services are available for tape and tape automation, and disk storage.

Baseline implementation
The Baseline level includes professional consulting and implementation services. This includes project management, architecture consulting and product test planning and execution. Our professionals define the scope of the services and detail the tasks to be performed.
Custom implementation
The Custom level expands the scope of Baseline services to forit the needs of a particular organization. This service includes project management and a customized project plan for a complete implementation, including onsite planning, interviews, startup and pilot proof-of-concept as needed. This service is tailored for large, complex or geographically dispersed systems.

| HSC Library Services | Includes the installation and configuration of HSC software, testing of HSC utilities and configuration of the StorageTek library in the customer’s MVS environment. In addition the service includes design validation, documentation, project management and training. |
| Virtual Storage Manager® Software | Includes the installation and configuration of all VSM components into an existing automated tape library environment. We provide project management for the implementation and include a starter set of virtual tape dataset candidates in the VSM host-setup parameters. Then, the VSM system is placed into production readiness. Optionally, we analyze the effectiveness of redirecting sequential files or Tape Mount Management (TMM) files to the VSM system. The service also includes training for operations and systems staff on VSM system operation and exploitation, design validation, documentation, project management and training. |
| Peer to Peer Remote Copy (PPRC) | This custom service includes the installation and configuration of PPRC software, design of data paths, LUN configuration, primary and secondary volume pairing. The service also includes design validation, testing, documentation, project management and training. |
| Shared Virtual Array® (SVA™) Administrator software and SVA Array Console (AC) software | Includes the installation and configuration of the SVAA and SVAC components and the configuration of logical volumes on the shared virtual array. | L180 and L700 tape library | Installation of StorageTek’s L180 and L700 tape libraries in environments not requiring ACSLS Manager™ software or HSC library software. Includes establishing host connectivity to the library and the integration of the library into the customer’s existing backup operation including the set up of media controls. The StorageTek Backup Resource Monitor (BRM) software is installed and set-up to report on the customer’s backup operation.
